Hello, you! My name is Natalie & I’m a 20-something living in the Washington, D.C. area. I am the voice behind this life & style blog bringing you all things that are Very Natalie.

I’m that person who shamelessly posts photos of what they made for dinner more often than not. I owe my love of cooking to the land of pasta (of course) & my “Nonna.” Nonna always gave me one of two jobs in the kitchen – grating Pecorino Romano or chopping garlic – both of which you’ll find in my cooking today. It was these early experiences with food…you know the ones that nearly cause an explosion in the microwave or a missing finger…that gave me the confidence in the kitchen I now have.

My cooking includes the basic Mediterranean staples- lots of olive oil, vegetables, legumes, protein & pasta. My recipes are simple in that they do not require a long list of ingredients. They are wholesome in that they are unprocessed. And, they are balanced in that I’ll make sure your right hand is chopping garlic or grating cheese, while the left is holding a glass of vino.

What’s important to me? Balance. That’s why I plan on sharing more than just food. You’ll find my latest recipes here of course, but also articles about life, wellness & wanderlust.
